Ans Sustainability for development or
sustainabledevelopment refers to the development whichtakes place
without damaging the environment.Such development should also not
compromise on the needs of future generations otherwise, it is
meaningless.
Following are three measures to control 'environment degradation
(i) Over exploitation of resources should be avoided. Rule of three ‘R’s i.e. Recycle,
Reduce and Reuse, should be adopted.
(ii) In place of conventional and non-renewable energy resources, renewable energy resources must be adopted.
(iii) New technologies should be developed for judicious use of resources and pollution free environment.
