Symbiosis is a mutual relationship or interaction between organisms of different groups and classes.

In this mutualistic relationship, both organisms benefit each other either by living closely or within each other.

One of the most common examples of symbiosis is a relationship between Algae and Fungi in a form of Lichen.

In this association, algae provide food whereas fungi provide protection.
