1. Systolic pressure : It is the pressure of the blood within the arteries when the centre pumps. It is the upper of two signs measurement. If sign is 120/80 , then 120 is the systolic pressure

2. Diastolic pressure : It is the pressure of the blood within the arteries when heart is filling. It is the lower of two signs measurement. If the sign of measurement is 120/80 ,then 80 is the diastiloc pressure.
