The top number refers to the amount of pressure in your arteries during the contraction of your heart muscle. This is called systolic pressure. The bottom number refers to your blood pressurewhen your heart muscle is between beats. This is called diastolic pressure.

SYSTOLIC PRESSURE- The top numbers or measurements of the pressure measuring device measures the contraction of arteries of our heart then it is refereed to systolic pressure.

DIASTOLIC PRESSURE:-The bottom number or measurements of the  blood pressure measuring device measures that when the heart muscle is between beats then it is refereed as  diastolic pressure.
