Ti plasmid (tumour inducing plasmid) is found in the bacterium *agrobacterium tumefaceins* .These plasmids are generally used in transfer of recombinant dna into plant cells.
Example: using ti plasmid genes responsible for tumour are replaced by genes from bean plant. This new altered plasmid is then introduced into tobacco plant to produce TO BEAN which is of high nutritive value.
