Answer:

Abode of Peace:

This is a poetic English translation of the Santiniketan (Shantiniketan) series of spiritual essays composed by Rabindranath Tagore between 1908 and 1914. Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941) was a Bengali polymath, and the first Asian Nobel Laureate. His other spiritual works include "Sadhana - The Realization of Life" (1916) and "The Religion of man".

That Tagore was a polymath, is well-known. What is not as well-known, however, is that Tagore was also a mystic, a religious reformer and a God-Realized Soul. The hope of this translation is to highlight those relatively little-known aspects of Tagore, and bring them to the fore. It is, however, questionable - from these essays - whether Tagore ever attained the Nirvikalpa Samadhi and/or the Final Beatitude in this time-period (1908-1914).
