Acctually the darkning of the open skin(which is not covered by clothes ) gets a dark shade than the covered skin( by clothes) ,its called tanning. It happens in summer when we are out of home in open area where sunlight touches our skin

Answer:

The process of darkening or tanning skin is known as sun tanning. Melanin production in the body results in tanning.

Explanation:

Most frequently, exposure to UV radiation from natural sources like sunlight or artificial ones like tanning lamps found in indoor tanning beds causes it. Because skin naturally exfoliates over time, a tan is never long-lasting. As a result, the tanned skin peels off. Older skin flakes off while new skin cells are created.

The UVA rays are what cause tanning in humans. Lower layers of the epidermis are exposed to UVA rays, which cause melanocytes, a kind of cell, to start producing melanin. The dark pigment that tans the skin is called melanin. The body produces melanin to shield skin from burning.
