classification of things or concepts, including the principles that underlie such classification.

In biological classification, taxonomic rank is the relative level of a group of organisms (ataxon) in a taxonomic hierarchy. Examples of taxonomic ranks are species, genus, family, order, class, phylum, kingdom, domain, etc.

A herbarium (plural: herbaria) is a collection of preserved plant specimens and associated data used for scientific study.[1] The term can also refer to the building or room where the specimens are housed, or to the scientific institute that not only stores but uses them for research.
