What is temperature??? please tell the short definition of it...

Temperature refers to the state of a body that induces coldness or hotness and it is measured by a thermometer. There are many scales and units for measuring temperature, the like Celsius (denoted °C; earlier centigrade), Fahrenheit (denoted as °F) and Kelvin (denoted K).

Temperature is a quantity which tells thermal state of a body ( that is degree of hotness or coldness of the body).
It determines the direction of flow of heat when two bodies at different temperatures are placed in contact.
S.I unit of temperature is Kelvin( symbol K).
The other most common unit of temperature is degree Celsius . They are related as:
Temperature in K=273+ temperature in degree Celsius
