Tense denotes state and action.

I am a teacher.(state)

I am teaching.(action)

There are three types of tenses each of which is further divided into four more.

1)Present tense.

2)Past tense.

3) Future tense.

These three are further divided into.

a) indefinite tense.

b) continuous tense.

c) perfect tense.

d) perfect continuous tense.
