Tense shows the time of an action. It is taken from the Latin word 'Temus' which means time.
the verb may tell us:
i.That an action done at present time.
ex- I eat a mango.
ii. That an action was done in the past time.
ex-I ate a mango.
iii. That an action will be done in the future time.
ex-I shall eat a mango.
iv.That an action was at some past time, viewed as future.
CLAUSE
A Clause is a part of sentence that gives a complete meaning or sometimes not and they contains a subject, a predicate and a verb.
there are two types of clauses:
1. Main Clause- Main Clause comes with finite verb and give complete sense by themselves. ex- she drives to work early.
2. Subordinate Clause- Subordinate Clause comes with Non-finite verb and depends on the main clause to make complete sense. ex- Ali drives to work early to avoid the last minute rush.
