In SI units, force is measured in newtons and area in square metres. This means stress is newtons per square meter, or N/m2. However,stress has its own SI unit, called thepascal. 1 pascal (symbol Pa) is equal to 1 N/m2.

♠ TENSION

⏺️When a body is suspended by a string, the body pulls the string vertically downwards due to it's weight and the spring pulls the body by a force which balances the weight of the body.

⏺️Tension can be calculated by using the formula..

T = mg + ma

⏺️S. I. unit of tension is N. ( NEWTON.) Because tension is a force, so it's S. I. UNIT is N.
