According to Article 83 of the consituition of India.the tenure of lok sabha is of five years.After completion of five years lok sabha automatically dissolve and fresh elections are conducted.but the president can dissolve lok sabha before completion of five years.during national emergency the tenure of lok sabha can also be extended for one year at a time and election may be conducted within six months after national emergency is over....
