Explanation: Nepal saw its course change rapidly within under a decade's period. The struggle for power was between three groups. The first one was the monarchy, the next was the Maoists, the third group seeked for democracy. This is the triangular conflict.

That took a lot of bloodshed on the streets of Nepal. The Monarch was too adamant to give up. His nephew under the influence of being a king himself murdered the rest of his family. Finally with the help of external agents democracy was was set up as the best form of governance.

Answer:

Explanation:

Triangular conflict of Nepal basically refers to three dimensional conflicts between three warring entities- Maoist, The Monarch and the mainstream politician over the control of Nepal.

The Maoist, known as extremist communist group are fighting since 1996 to turn Nepal into a Republican Communist state by removing the incumbent government from the power. The decision of the monarch king to dismiss the democratically elected government added more fuel to the furor in the year 2002. The king later decided to take full control of the government by appointing pro palace candidates as ministers followed by a formal announcement of emergency in 2005.

As a result of outbreak of emergency, thousands of innocent journalist, human rights activist and students were arrested and put behind the bars. People all across the country were stripped off their right to expression and freedom of choice which later results into Maoist insurgency and agitation by political class that left behind legacy of scars of political fights and bloodshed.
