 \huge\purple{\boxed{\boxed{\underline{TERMINAL\: VELOCITY}}}}

✍ It is the constant velocity acquired by the body when it freely falls in the viscous medium.

\huge\red{{\mathscr{ EXTRA\: INFO}}}

✍ When a spherical body falls freely under gravity through a viscous medium, the body carries the liquid layer which is in contact with it.

✍ But the liquid layer which is at large distance from the body is at rest. Thus, there is relative motion between the layers of the liquid.

✍ Viscous force opposes this relative Motion. This viscous force increases with the increase in velocity of the body and at a certain stage it become equal to the driving force (Force of gravity).

✍ Then the body requires a constant velocity called the Terminal velocity.

✍ The Terminal Velocity of the body depends on its weight, size, shape and viscosity of the medium
