Here is your answer my friend,

To add,

 {a}^{1} + {a}^{5}

 {a}^{1 x 5}

 {a}^{5}

DaIncredible: hey but we will add power when the question will be a^1 × a^5 i think

Hey there!
Down here⏬

a^1 + a^5

according to the law of exponent

a^m×a^n = a^m+n

a^1 × a^5
= a^1+5
a^6

But no law for a^m + a^n according to cbse syllabus.

There was a chapter named surds in cbse 2001 but it's removed and now it's for higher classes.

according to a cbse student,

= a + a^5 (a number raised to 1 is the number itself)

is the answer

Good question

DaIncredible: but i think we will add powers when the question will be a^1 × a^5
DaIncredible: and the identity is a^m × a^n = a^m+n
DaIncredible: right??
AkshithaZayn: yup. edited :)
DaIncredible: thnx :)
