let say the number be x0y where x is in hundred's place, 0 is in ten's place and y is in unit's place .
hence it can also be expressed as 100x+y .
When units place and hundred's place digits gets interchanged , it is said it increases by 198. So 100y+x=100x+y+198=> 99y-99x=198=> y-x=2...(1)
When the left hand digit is halved and middle and right hand digits are reversed ,it is diminished by 228=> x/2(100)+10y+228= 100x+y => 50x-9y =228 ...(2)
multiply (1) by 9 and add(2) , we get 9(y-x)+50x-9y=228+18=> 41x=246 => x=6 .Substitute x=6 in (1), we get y-6=2=> y=8 . So the number is 6(100)+0(10)+8=608 .Hope it helps you...Mark me as Brainliest please as I have explained the solution clearly .
