TO DETERMINE

The 10th terms of the arithmetic sequence

- 6 , - 1 , 4 , 9 ,...

EVALUATION

Here the given arithmetic sequence is

- 6 , - 1 , 4 , 9 ,...

First term = a = - 6

Common Difference = d = - 1 + 6 = 5

Hence the required 10th terms of the arithmetic sequence

= a + ( 10 - 1) d

= a + 9d

= - 6 + ( 9 × 5 )

= - 6 + 45

= 39
