This is a question of Geometric Sequence.

The given sequence is a Geometric sequence.

The sequence is

x,x^3/2,x^2,x^5/2

Here

The first term  =  a = x

     Common Ratio = r = (x^3/2) / x  = x^1/2

The nth term is

 a_{n} =  a r^{n-1}

 a_{85} =  x.x^{1/2(84)}

a_{85} =  x.x^{84/2}

a_{85} =  x.x^{42}

a_{85} =  x^{43}

So the 85th term is   x^{43}
