9
for each one, start with adding 3, then multiplying 2 on top of the corresponding number and subtracting 1 before adding the number gotten to the original number

1 + 3 = 4
4 + 5 = 9
9 + 9 = 18
18 + 17 = 35
35 + 33 = 68
68 + 67 = 135
135 + 133 = 268
268 + 265 = 533

533 should be your answer

hope this helps

Rohanfighter: how did you get it?
Rohanfighter: wait that doesn't make sense
Rohanfighter: it isn't consistent
Rohanfighter: It's a series.. it has to stay consistent
Rohanfighter: oh wait.. i see what you did.. never mind
Rohanfighter: just answer it.. not sure which one he wants
Rohanfighter: yeah i saw afterwards

33
as we see the series 1,4,9,18......

we see that

2¹-1 = 1
which is first term

2²-0 = 4
which is second term

2³+1 = 9

third term

2⁴+2 = 18

fourth term

2^5 +3 = 35

fifth term

2^6+4 = 68
sixth term

2^7+5 = 133
seventh term

2^8+6 = 262

eighth term so answer is 262
