\rm a^m\times a^n=a^{m+n}

Few more laws of Indices:-

\leadsto\rm a^0 = 1 \qquad ...[a\neq 0]

\leadsto\rm (a^m)^n = (a^n)^m= a^{mn}

\leadsto\rm \dfrac{a^m}{a^n}=a^{m-n}

\leadsto\rm a \times a^{-1} = a^{1-1} = a^0 = 1

\leadsto\rm a^m = \dfrac{1}{a^{-m}}

\leadsto\rm a^{-m} = \dfrac{1}{a^m}

\leadsto\rm \sqrt{a} = a^{\frac{1}{2}}

\leadsto\rm \sqrt[m]{a} = a^{\frac{1}{m}}

\leadsto\rm \sqrt[m]{a^n} = a^{\frac{n}{m}}

Hope it helps.
