Here \: is \: the \: answer \: of \: your \: question

`\textbf{Acceleration}`

→ It is the rate of change of velocity of an object with respect to time. i.e.

Acceleration = Velocity ÷ Time

`\textbf{Dimension}`

→ Acceleration = Velocity ÷ Time ........(1)

Here, the dimension of

Velocity = [L¹T-¹]

Time = [T¹]

Now, put dimensions of velocity and time in (1)

Acceleration = [L¹T-¹] ÷ [T¹]

Acceleration = [L¹T-²]

`\textbf{Other impotant points}`

→ Unit of velocity = metre/ second

and time = second

So,

S.I unit of acceleration = m/s²

→ It is a vector quantity. As it has both magnitude and direction.
