Given:-

  • Initial velocity ,u = 25km/h
  • Final velocity ,v = 40km/h
  • Time taken ,t = 1min = 1/60 hour

To Find:-

  • Acceleration, a

Solution:-

According to the Question

Acceleration is defined as the rate of change in velocity.

  • a = v-u/t

where,

  • v is the final velocity
  • a is the acceleration
  • u is the initial velocity
  • t is the time taken

Substitute the value we get

:\implies a = 40-25 ÷ 1/60

:\implies a = 15 × 60/1

:\implies a = 900km/h²

  • Hence, the acceleration of the car is 900km/.

Extra Information !!

Some equation of motion are

• v = u +at

• s = ut +1/2at².

• v² = u² + 2as

Here,

v is the final velocity

u is the initial velocity

a is the acceleration

s is the displacement or Distance

t is the time taken

{\large{\underline{\underline{\pmb{\frak{Let's\;understand\;the\;concept:-}}}}}}

☀️ As per the given information, we know that a car starts accelerates from the speed of 25 km per hour to 40 km per hour in the time taken of one minute. In order to find the acceleration of car we can apply the first equation of motion.

❍  Firstly, we've to convert the given time into hour and then by solving the equation we have, we can easily find acceleration.

{\large{\underline{\underline{\pmb{\frak{Given:-}}}}}}

  • Initial Velocity ( u ) of car = 25 km/h
  • Final Velocity ( v ) of car = 40 km/h
  • Time ( t ) = 1 min = 1/60 hour

{\large{\underline{\underline{\pmb{\frak{To\;find:-}}}}}}

  • Acceleration ( a )  of car

{\large{\underline{\underline{\pmb{\frak{solution:-}}}}}}

⍟  As we know that,

  • First equation of motion : v = u + at

Where,

  • a denotes acceleration
  • v denotes final velocity
  • u denotes initial velocity
  • t denotes time taken

Finding the acceleration of the car :-

\sf : \; \implies v = u + at

\sf : \; \implies 40 = 25 +  \bigg\{  \; a \times \dfrac{1}{60} \; \bigg\}

\sf : \; \implies   \bigg\{  \; a \times \dfrac{1}{60} \; \bigg\} = 40 - 25

\sf : \; \implies   \bigg\{  \; a \times \dfrac{1}{60} \; \bigg\} = 15

\sf : \; \implies   a \times \dfrac{1}{60} = 15

\sf : \; \implies   a  = 15 \times 60

\bf : \; \implies   a  = 900 \; km/h^{2}

  • Henceforth, acceleration of the car is 900 km/h²
