  • m = 20kg

  • a = ?

  • F = m×a

  • 64 = 20×a

  • 64÷20= a

  • a = 3.2m/sec^2

Answer

Given ,

  • Mass (m) = 20 kg
  • Force ( n ) = 64N

To find ,

  • the acceleration of the wagon = ?

So ,

According to the given question ;

  • We know that , F = ma

now putting the value in the formula we get ;

=> 64 = 20 (a)

=> a = 64/20

=> a = 3.2 m/s^2

The acceleration of the wagon is 3.2 metre per second square .

Additional information

what is motion ?

  • a body said to be in motion when its position changes continuously with respect to the stationary of the taken as a reference point .

  • Example :- when the position changes of a car continuously with respect to its stationary point object like house and trees etc .. we can say that the car is in motion.

What is acceleration ?

  • acceleration of a body is defined as the rate of change of its velocity with the given time .
  • acceleration = V - U / T

Where ,

  • v = final velocity of the body
  • u = initial velocity of the body
  • t = time taken
  • a = acceleration of the body

what is velocity ?

  • velocity of a body is the distance travelled by it per unit time in a given direction .
  • Velocity = displacement / time taken
  • v = s/t

What is distance ?

  • distance is a scalar quantity.
  • the distance travelled by a body is the actual length of the path covered by a moving body is a spective of the direction in which the body travels.

what is displacement ?

  • displacement is a vector quantity.
  • the shortest distance between the initial and the final position with a straight line path is known as displacement.

what is speed ?

  • speed of a body gives us an idea of how slow fast the body is moving.
