GIVEN:-

  • Initial velocity (v) = 54km/h = 15 m/s
  • Distance (s) = 20 m
  • Final velocity = 0

 TO\:FIND:-

  • Acceleration (a) = ?

 SOLUTION:-

\implies\:\:v^{2} = u^{2} + 2 as

\implies\:\:u^{2} + 2as = 0

\implies\:\:15^{2} + 2 \times a \times 20 = 0

\implies\:\: 225 + 40a = 0

\implies\:\: 40a = -225

\implies\:\: a = \dfrac{-225}{40}

\implies\:\:{\boxed{ a = -5.625\:ms^{-2}}}
