Pancreatic juice is a liquid secreted by the pancreas, which contains a variety of enzymes, including

trypsinogen,

chymotrypsinogen,

elastase,

carboxypeptidase,

pancreatic lipase,

nucleases,

amylase.

These enzymes exercise following functions:

complete the digestion of starch (pancreatic amylase);

carry out about half of protein digestion (via the action of trypsin, chymotrypsin, carboxypeptidase);

be totally responsible for fat digestion because the pancreas is essentially the only source of lipases;

digest nucleic acids(nucleases).
