Soap molecules form miscelle around the grease in such a way that the hydrophobic tail is in the grease and hydrophilic head is interacting with water, creating a bridge between the grease and water. Thus the grease is pulled from the greasy cloth to water. Thus soap acts as an emulsifying agent
