the actual shape of rainbow is vowel.it is not in the shape of a half-circle .When reflection takes place between sun light and rain water droplets it forms as a vowel shape by reflecting in all directions. As we cannot see the other side it looks like a half-circle.

Answer:
To see a rainbow, you need to be looking at light rain with the sun behind you. The rainbow is curved as it reflects the round shape of the sun. It is a semicircle because only half of your field of vision is the air (the other half is the Earth).
