It means that additive identity is “0” as adding 0 to any number, gives the sum as the number itself. For any set of numbers, that is, all integers, rational numbers, complex numbers, the additive identity is 0. It is because when you add 0 to any number; it doesn't change the number and keeps its identity.

Additive Identity : It is the number which when ɑdded to ɑnother number gives you the number itself.

If ɑ is ɑ whole number then ɑ + 0 = 0 + ɑ = ɑ.

For every whole number ɑ, ɑ + 0 = 0 + ɑ = ɑ. 0 is cɑlled the Identity element for ɑddition in the set of W. The whole number 0 (zero) is cɑlled the ɑdditive identity or the identity element for ɑddition of whole numbers.

I hope this will help you dear..
