Additive identity: Zero is the additive identity for Rational, natural, whole numbers and integers, since adding it to them does not change the result. Hence, 0 + a = a + 0 = a, where a can be rational number or natural number or whole number of integer.

Step-by-step explanation:

Additive identity in rational numbers: For any rational number, there is an element which when added to the rational number, gives the same number as its sum. Like if p/q is a rational number, where p& q are integers , q not equal to zero. ... And 0 is an additive element
