Question :-

What is the additive inverse of p/q ?

Answer :-

The additive inverse of p/q is -p/q.

Because,

The additive inverse is defined as for any no. 'a' as, a + (- a) = 0

Here, a = p/q ,

and, -a = -p/q

So,

Putting it in ..... a + (-a)

= p/q + (- p/q)

= 0

Thus, additive inverse of p/q is -p/q

_______×_______

Thank you !
