Answer:

Aluminium is a corrosion resistant metal that naturally generates a protective coating. The coating formed is extremely thin and is generated when aluminium comes into contact with an oxidising environment. This protective aluminium oxide layer helps protect the surface of the metal from corrosion.

On corrosion of aluminium it forms a layer of aluminium oxide (AlO) which is a strong and protects the metal object. Thus the corrosion of aluminium protects the metal object. For making aluminium oxide layer the metal object is often anodized. In this process the metal object is electrolysed in water with H2SO4 added in it.
