Answer:

We take standard incident rays to draw the ray diagram because we know in which path they will go after reflection or refraction which makes it easy to draw Ray digram.

But in case of random incident rays it becomes difficult for us to find their path after reflection or refraction hence it becomes difficult to draw ray diagram
