1)plants which do not produce seeds, are propagated by the method e.g-sugar-cane,potato,banana,rose,orange seedless grapes, jasmine etc.
2)the trait(character)of a plant is preserved by vegetative propagation.
3)vegetative propagation is a cheaper, easier and more rapid method of vegetative propagation in plants than growing plants from seeds;eg-many lilies grow very slowly and take 4-7 years to developed flowers, when grown thier seeds, but flowers are produced only after a year or two when grown vegetatively.
4)thus,the plants generated from vegetative means requires less time to grow and have the advantages of being more uniform and gentically similar to parent stock.
