It is to increase the crop production and for passion some of the people plant so just as a hobby. As in that u can grow two or plants in an area is called mixed cropping becaise many crops grow at the same place.But not all crops can grow eg:rice and whwat because some need more water whereas some need less.
It is also to satisfy the need people living in an area according to their needs.These things are done mainly in a village or town according to thier needs.
