Project Tiger was launched in April 1973 by the Prime Minister of that time Srimati. Indira Gandhi... that's why it's also called as Indira Gandhi Tiger Conservation Program. The main in this project was to implement the number in BENGAL TIGERS in their own habitat. This project was holded by National Tiger Conservation Authority of India. Now in India there are 3500+ tigers which is raised from 2200 tigers in 2014.
