Usually you may have seen algebraic expressions such as 15xy, 18x.... in your maths textbook. The meaning of 15xy is 15×x×y so it is easy to say the answer for 5×y i.e, 5y and when we add 8 to it we have add only 5 with 8 and when added it becomes 13 and y is 13y
