what is the altitude corresponding to the side of length 8.5 CM in a parallelogram whose area is 34 CM square​

Given :

  • Area of parallelogram = 34cm²
  • Length of side = 8.5cm

To find :

  • The altitude

Solution :

Using the formula,

Area of parallelogram = base×height

Putting values,

→Area = bh

→34 = 8.5(h)

→h = 34/8.5

h = 4cm.

Hence,the altitude is 4cm.
