Here,

∠CAB = 90°

Therefore, By pythogaras theorem,

BC = 5cm

Now, In ∆ACB AND ∆DAB

∠ACB = ∠ADB = 90°

∠B = ∠B ( COMMON )

Therefore, ∆ACB ∼ ∆DAB ( AA )

Therefore, by similarity

{\huge{\frac{AC}{AD}}} = {\huge{\frac{BC}{AB}}}

==> {\huge{\frac{4}{AD}}} = {\huge{\frac{5}{3}}}

==> AD = {\huge{\frac{12}{5}}} cm.

Therefore, Altitude = 2.4cm
