Step-by-step explanation:

We know that in an equilateral triangle all sides are equal.

Side of a equilateral triangle= 8 cm

Area of the equilateral triangle= √3/4×a2

=(√3/4×8×8) sq.cm

=(64√3/4) sq.cm

=(64×1.73/4) sq.cm

=(16×1.73) sq.cm

=27.68 sq.cm

Now,

Height of the equilateral triangle =(√3/2×a) cm

=(√3/2×8) cm

=(4√3) cm

(4×1.73) cm

=6.92 cm

hope it helps...

pls mark it..

Area of equilateral triangle = 3/4

Area = 3/4 × 64

Area = 163 cm²......... (1)

Also,

Area of triangle = 1/2 bh.......(2)

Equating (1) and (2),

163 = 1/2 × 8 × h

h = 43 cm

Therefore altitude of the equilateral triangle is 43 cm
