What is the amount of force required to increase the velocity of a car by 30m/s starting from rest .it is given that the time is 10sec and the mass of the car is 1000kg.

Force= mass × acceleration ...................................................(1)

We know mass is 1000kg, now to find acceleration.

Acceleration=  \frac{change  in  velocity}{time taken}  ............(2)

(change in velocity =30-0{since initially it is at rest}, So total change in velocity=30m/s)

Time taken =10sec

Putting value of change in velocity and time in eqn (2)

We get, Acceleration=  \frac{30}{10}  = 3

Putting value of acceleration in eqn (1)

We get Force= 1000 × 3 = 3000 N
