Given:

mass of iron = 5 kg

specific heat capacity of iron = 483 J/kg°C

Initial temperature of iron = 30°C

Final temperature of iron= 130°C

To find:

Amount of heat Q required to raise the temperature .

Solution:

Rise in temperature Δt = 130 - 30 = 100°C

As we know that,

Specific heat capacity = Heat energy(Q) / (mass * rise in temperature)

483 = Q/ (1 * 100)

Q = 483 * 100

Q = 48300J

Therefore the amount of heat required is 48300J.
