Correct Question :-

What is the angle between the minute and hour hand at 12:30 o'clock.

Answer :-

We know,

At a given point, Angle is 360°

Since, There are 12 hours in the interface of a clock.

So,

Angle between the interval of 5 minutes = 360/12

⇒ Angle between interval 5 minutes = 30°

Now find the angle in 30 minutes of interval:

⇒ θ₁ = 6×30

⇒ θ₁ = 180°

Angle moved around by the hour hand:

At 12:00:

Angle = 0°

We know an hour hand moved around 30° in one hour.

∴ In 30 minutes It would move about 15°.

Now, The hour hand would also move from its initial position which is at exactly 12.

Now the minute hand is on 6 and the hour hand is about 15° from its initial position.

So, Total angle between them is:

⇒ Angle moved around by the minute + angle moved around by the hour hand

⇒ 180° + 15°

195°

Hence, At 12:30 o'clock the angle between the minute hand and hour hand would be 195°.
