What is the angle between the hour’s hand and minute’s hand of a clock at (i)1.40 hours,(ii) 2.15 hours? (Use 1° =60 minutes.)

(i) We have to find x, so
Angle between each no.= 360°/12°
=30°
Therefore, y= 30*7
= 210°
and 1 min for hours hand means 1/2°(30/60)
So Q= 1/2× 40
= 20°
Thus, x= y-Q
= 210-20
= 190° Ans
(ii) In the same way,
x= y- Q
= 30- (1/2*15)
= 30- 7.5
= 22.5 Ans
Although, I'm not getting what you mean by 1°= 60 min, I think this is the logical answer.
