One round around the clock = 360º

Find the angle moved for every min:

60 mins = 360

1 min = 6º

⇒ Every min moved is 6º

Find the angle moved for every 5 mins:

1 min = 6º

5 mins = 6 x 5 = 30º

⇒ Every hour moved is 30º

Find the angle that the minute hand formed:

The minute hand is at 25 minutes

1 min = 6º

25 min = 25 x 6 = 150º

Find the angle that the hour hand formed:

When the hour hand is exactly at 7 o'clock

Angle formed = 7 x 30 = 210º

But the hour hand is between 7 and 8 o'clock

Extra angle formed =25/60 x 30 = 12.5º

Angle formed = 12.5º

Total angle formed = 210 + 12.5 = 222.5º

Find the angle formed by the hands of a clock at 25 mins past 7:

Angle = 222.5 - 150 = 72.5º

Answer: 72.5º
