i + r = 80

Now, according to the law of reflection , the angle of reflection is equal to the angle of incidence .

i.e. i =r

Then ,

i + i = 80

=> 2 i = 80

=> i = 80/2

=> i = 40

Therefore, the angle of incident is 40 degree.
