Non-sooty (blue) flame is also called a neutral flame. It is used to weld various types of metals in a welding application. This is used on a large scale in the gas welding process. It is made of mixing an equal amount of acetylene and oxygen in a welding torch. Acetylene and oxygen are supplied from cylinders in welding torch. There is two zones formed at the tip of torch first is inner cone flame which is at higher temperature and blue in color and second is an outer zone which is dark blue in color.

The another name of the non-sooty (blue) flame is "natural flames".

Because these flames have plenty of oxygen for burning therefore are blue in colour (blue colour shows complete combustion).
