Answer:

x+1=0, x= -1.

p(x)= 2x^3+ax^2+2bx+1

p(-1) = 2(-1)^3+a(-1)^2-2b+1

= -2+a-2b+1= a-2b-1

a-2b-1=0

a-2b=1...(1)

a= 1+2b

(given) 2a-3b=4...(2)

by substituting the value of a in equation 2..

2(1+2b)-3b= 4

2+4b-3b=4

2+b= 4

b= 2

by putting value of b in equation 1.

a-2(2)-1= 0

a-4-1= 0

a-5= 0

a= 5.

therefore answer is a= 5, b= 2..

option c..
