Let the number of bulb be X

1 bulb = 60W

so X bulb = 60X watt

Now, P = V × I

60 X = 220 × 5

X = 220 × 5 / 60

X = 18. 33

Hence the number of the bulbs can be run is = 18.

Let the maximum number of bulb be x ,

power of bulbs be y

p = 60 y

V=220 V , I =5 A

we know that

P=VI 60 y = 220×5

60y = 1100y = 18.33

so, number of bulbs required are 18.33
