Answer:

Given:    √x + 58/√x = 31

now ,

       by taking LCM

     ⇒  (x + 58) / √x = 31

     ⇒  x + 58 = 31√x

     ⇒  x - 31√x + 58  = 0

Now by using splitting the middle term formulae,

     ⇒  x - 29√x - 2√x + 58 = 0

    ⇒  x ( 1 - 29/√x) - 2√x ( 1 - 29√x) = 0

    ⇒  (x - 2√x)(1 - 29√x) = 0

now,

Case 1

    x - 2√x = 0

⇒    x = 2√x           (...1)

Case 2

       1 - 29√x = 0

⇒      1 = 29√x

⇒         √x = 1/29              (..2)

Now putting the value of √x in eq (1).

      x = 2√x

∴    x = 2/29 is the correct answer.

hope u will be helped by this.
